3 Doors Down rocker Todd Harrell has been released on bail after he was charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication over the weekend (20Apr13).

The bassist was arrested after he clipped another car while driving through Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday night (19Apr13), causing the other vehicle to crash down an embankment and overturn.

The driver, identified as Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr., was killed in the crash, and Harrell was charged in connection with the death and taken into police custody.

On Tuesday (23Apr13), he was freed after posting a $100,000 (£62,500) bond.

Harrell, 41, is also accused of bringing controlled substances into his jail cell. He is due in court on Thursday (25Apr13).

3 Doors Down have scrapped their upcoming gigs until the end of May (13) in light of the charges.
