Rap superstar 50 Cent is fast becoming a Hollywood hotshot - he's written a new movie and hired Val Kilmer to star alongside him.
The star, real name Curtis Jackson, recently signed a deal with producer Richard Jackson to take three screenplays the rapper has written to the big screen, under the banner of their Cheetah Vision company.
The first, called The Gun, is due to begin production next month (Dec09), starring 50 Cent and Kilmer as friends caught up in the world of illegal weapons dealing.
The star reveals he's fast developed a love of movie writing, telling Daily Variety, "When you write a song, you need to say it in three minutes or it is overkill, but I like creating stories and going in depth with characters."
