David Arquette has finally divorced from actress Courteney Cox after 12 years of marriage. Though the couple's initial separation was a little rocky, the couple have remained close Friends throughout the proceedings, with the former Friends actress cheering on her former husband on the set of Dancing With The Stars, and both discussing their problems together on the radio.
In a statement announcing the divorce, the pair wrote, "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply", and it's hard to disagree. They have hardly been in a rush to officially end their marriage, and there has even been numerous reports of a reconciliation over the past year. Nevertheless, Arquette filed the petition in Los Angeles on Friday (June 8, 2012), though is avoiding hiring a lawyer - another sign that the divorce isn't your typical confrontational affair. The couple are likely to take joint custody of their seven-year-old daughter Coco, who Arquette sees regularly.
Cox gained worldwide fame for her role in the television comedy 'Friends', and has had success with ABC's 'Cougar Town'. Arquette is actually an executive producer of the latter, though has appeared in numerous movies, such as 'Never Been Kissed', '3000 Miles to Graceland', and the 'Scream' films.
