It was Abbey Clancy who stole the headlines after Phillip Armstrong's fashion show at Harvey Nichols in Manchester on Thursday (April 19, 2012), despite the high profiler appearance of Coleen Rooney. Clancy looked elegant in a classic black and white polka dot dress, while Coleen struggled to find praise for her pink creation.
The UK's Daily Mirror were perhaps the most scathing in their criticism for the latter's outfit, saying, "It looks like the top bit should be sheer, but it wasn't. If it had been it would be a cute modern 1950s Marilyn Monroe-style number, instead the colour of the top clashed with her tan". The Metro were almost as damning, saying, "Coleen is known for her hit-and-miss fashion sense but knowing she was going to a catwalk show, she surely should have made the extra effort to ensure she was looking her most stylish". Instead it was mother-of-one Clancy who took all the plaudits, adding a splash of colour to her frock with a pair of bright orange heels. The former model is married to Stoke City striker Peter Crouch.
Other stars to show up at the catwalk show included the Atomic Kitten singer Liz Mcclarnon, as well as Jude Cisse and Danielle Martins.
