AC DC frontman Brian Johnson is aiming to raise $1 million (£625,000) for a paediatric cancer charity by taking part in a road race.
The rocker, who is an avid motoring enthusiast, is teaming up with Fifty Plus Racing of Chattanooga, Tennessee to raise funds for the Austin Hatcher Foundation by taking part in January's (12) Rolex 24 race.
The event will take place at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida and Johnson will share driving duties with another racer in a No. 50 Riley-Bmw Dayton Prototype.
The singer is urging his fans to donate $10 (£6.25) each to the charity, saying, "This is real, this is going to happen, and we're all happy to have the opportunity to do this. Ac Dc fans all over the world are now rooting for the Austin Hatcher Foundation."
