Adam Lambert has tweeted a tribute message to those caught up in the devastation in Japan after the country suffered a huge earthquake followed by a tsunami.
Adam Lambert, the Californian singer-songwriter who finished as the runner-up on season eight of American Idol, is the latest celebrity to send a message of condolence to the people of Japan.Speaking on his Twitter page earlier today, the American musician told followers, "My thoughts and energy are towards japan". A number of high-profile celebrities have been urging their digital fans to use the 'prayforjapan' hash-tag when posting messages. The reality television star Kim Kardashian tweeted, "Just heard about the huge earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My prayers are with everyone in Japan!", while P Diddy aka Sean Combs asked his followers to pray, saying, "Oh man yall see this earthquake in japan??????!!!!! Let us pray!!!!" The earthquake registered an 8.9 magnitude on the U.S Geological Survey and a series of aftershocks reached 7.4 just thirty minutes later.
Adam Lambert's sentiments were also echoed by the radio host and television personality Ryan Seacrest, who told his Twitter followers, "Glued to TV watching this unreal earthquake footage out of Japan. Sending prayers to everyone affected. Unbelievable".

Galaysia, I don't understand your comment, are you saying that people should not offer their prayers to those in danger, it helps, it really does when you are afraid and unsure of the immediate and long range future, or even if you will survive to know that others are thinking of you and praying for your well-being. Adam has offered his support both emotional and monetary for many causes since he has gained celebrety status, and I suspect he has always been supportive of others less fortunate. I and my family have been effected by hurricanes. I did not know where my son, his wife, and my grandchildren were for a period of time, or even if they had survived, and I was never so afraid and worried in my life and my sister and family who live in Coastal Oregon are now evacuated-I sure appreciate knowing that other's care. I hope that you and your loved ones are never in danger, but if you are, I hope that you are the receipt of other's prayers and help, maybe you will then see the value.
