Mary J. Blige is to reteam with her Rock Of Ages director Adam Shankman for an eye-popping new Internet concert.
The Grammy Award winner has been announced as the latest performer in the ongoing American Express Unstaged livestream music series, and when she hits the stage at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on 17 November (11), Shankman will create the show around her for her fans around the world.
The performance will be livestreamed via YouTube and Vevo.
The event precedes the 21 November (11) release of Blige's new album, My Life II...The Journey Continues (Act I).
Blige says, "I can't wait to share in this amazing experience with fans around the world as they join me on a timeless journey of celebration and reflection. I'm really looking forward to immersing myself in Adam Shankman's creative vision for an unforgettable performance."
Previous American Express Unstaged shows have featured Arcade Fire, John Legend & The Roots, Sugarland, Duran Duran, My Morning Jacket and Coldplay, whose recent livestreamed show in Spain was directed by Anton Corbijn.
