Adele - Adele Brushes Off Lagerfeld's Comments
Adele has brushed off designer/photographer Karl Lagerfeld's recent remarks about her weight, insisting she's "proud" of her body because she represents the everywoman.
Fashion icon Lagerfeld sparked outrage among Adele's fans when he told a reporter she was "a little too fat" for his liking in a recent interview - but the Chasing Pavements hitmaker is refusing to take the criticism to heart, telling People magazine, "I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that."
The Chanel designer went on to apologise for his harsh remarks, telling Metro New York, "I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought.
"She is my favourite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance."
