It seems that, come her next album, Adele will have another tune to sing other than bemoaning past relationship. Yesterday evening the singer broke the news, via her own website, that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki are expecting their first child together after six-months together.
The 'Rumour Has It' singer and her charity chief executive boyfriend Konecki announced that they were "over the moon" with the good news. The singer has also issued an understandable plea that the couple's privacy be respected as they prepare to become parents.
Adele has captured much media interested since the phenomenal success of her second album, 21, after it became the biggest selling release of 2011. The album has so far sold more than 17 million copies around the world and earned her six Grammys, two Brits and two Ivor Novello awards.
The two met last summer during a junction for Simon's water charity Drop4Drop, for which he is the co-founder and chief executive. The two became public when he escorted Adele to the Grammy awards as her date, amidst rumour that he was still married to stylist Clary Fisher - rumours that were soon disproved and shot down by Adele and her PR.
