Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing live at this year's Grammy Awards, it has been announced today (February 2, 2012). The Boss will join an impressive line-up of performers for the awards ceremony, which takes place on Sunday, February 12, 2012. The performance will give Springsteen fans a taste of what to expect when he embarks on a mammoth world tour in March, in support of his Wrecking Ball album.
Also performing at the Grammys this year, will be the British singer Adele, whose return to the stage has been greatly anticipated after she was forced to stop performing as a result of necessary surgery on her vocal cords last year. In addition, Nicki Minaj will be following up her high-profile Super Bowl performance this weekend with a performance, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform and Paul McCartney is due to make an appearance, potentially performing a new track from his latest album, Kisses on the Bottom. The Band Perry, who have been nominated for Best New Artist, will be taking to the stage, as well as Blake Shelton, who is up for two of the Recording Academy's Country Music awards. Rihanna and Coldplay have also been booked to perform, as have Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean.
The Recording Academy have also arranged for some high-profile presenters to take part in the ceremony. The evening's hosts will be LL Cool J and Gwyneth Paltrow and Drake will be among those selected to present an award.
