Rockers Aerosmith are planning to launch their comeback with a new album next spring (12), according to frontman Steven Tyler.
The group has been working on new material around Tyler's new job as a judge on TV talent contest American Idol, and he insists the bandmates are on course to release a new album in March.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "We're almost there. We're gonna spend another month in L.A. (working on tracks)."
The album will be the band's 14th studio effort and its first release since 2004's Honkin' on Bobo.
Tyler briefly walked away from the band in 2009 to seek help for an addiction issue. Co-founder Joe Perry initially planned to continue Aerosmith with a new frontman, but the rockers were able to sufficiently resolve their issues so they could work together again last year (10).
