Aerosmith legend Steven Tyler treated fans to an impromptu performance at a tiny venue in Nashville, Tennessee.

The rocker was in the audience at the city's popular Bluebird Cafe, where up-and-coming country performers take to the stage to preview their material.

Many stars got their break at the 90-seat venue, and Tyler wanted to relive his days as an unknown, jumping on to the stage after four songwriters performed for the crowd.

He played two of his band's hits, including Jaded, and then took to the piano for ballad Dream On.
