R&B star Akon has hit back at a construction company boss who is suing him over an unpaid bill by filing a counter-suit alleging he was overcharged for poor workmanship.
Jay Poorak, who runs U.S. company Southern Electric, has sued the star over claims he failed to settle a $51,000 (£31,875) bill for renovations on his Georgia mansion.
However, Akon insists he won't be paying the tab as much of the work on his home was carried out without his permission and without a price agreement.
He also claims the work was a disaster and he was charged $150,000 (£93,750) for a job which was only worth $33,660 (£21,036), according to Tmz.com.
The singer is suing to regain some of the money he has already handed over and for damages amid allegations Poorak slandered him.
