Politician-turned-environmental filmmaker Al Gore is to have an eco-friendly school named after him in Los Angeles.
The CarsonGore Academy of Environmental Sciences will open on 13 September (10).
The former U.S. Vice-President shares the school honour with writer Rachel Carson, who is credited with launching the modern environmental movement.
The Arlington Heights school will focus of environmental studies.
Gore becomes the first vice-president to have a Los Angeles school named after him.
