The arty and bizarre Duran Duran concert movie David Lynch directed for a live streaming event in 2011 is to be released to cinemas for one night only.

The film, shot at Los Angeles' Mayan Theatre and featuring guest appearances by former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and Kelis, among others, will hit the big screen at 300 theatres across the U.S. on 10 September (14).

Lynch has re-edited the film while the band has remixed the audio for the upcoming release.

The original film was shot as part of the American Express Unstaged series that pairs musicians with filmmakers.

Meanwhile, Duran Duran have recently started work on the follow-up to All You Need is Now with producers Nile Rodgers and Mark Ronson.
