The Scarface actor is directing and starring in an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's Salome in the U.K. capital's theatre district next year (16), and Pacino has revealed he chose London after Las Vegas casino bosses turned him down.

He tells Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "I was told that Oscar Wilde wasn't appropriate for Vegas casino audiences for some reason. I love London and I'm fascinated by this play... I realise the play isn't for everyone but the challenges of it have been a very creative experience for me."
