Alexa Vega, the 22-year-old actress who plays the young secret agent in the 'Spy Kids' movies, has married the 'Napoleon Dynamite' producer SEAN COVEL in an intimate ceremony at the Homestake Opera House, in South Dakota.
The couple had been engaged for exactly a year when they tied the knot, reports People Magazine. Vega wore an Ian Stewart gown and the couple were surrounded by mini calla lilies, cream-spray roses, and orchids at the ceremony held in the historic building in the city of Lead in Lawrence County. Robert Rodriguez, the director of 'Spy Kids' as well as new movie 'MAChete' walked the actress down the aisle and a number of other high profile names were among the guests, including the actor Wilmer Valderrama.
Vega recently completed filming her new movie 'From Prada to Nada', a Latina version of Jane Austen's 'Sense and Sensibility'. Staff from the opera house congratulated the couple via their official Facebook page, leaving a status update that read, "Congratulations to Sean Covel and Alexa Vega, married Sunday at the Opera House! The bride is Spy Kids star Alexa Vega and the groom is her longtime boyfriend, Sean Covel who produced Napoleon Dynamite".
