Director Alexander Payne Is Set To Be Feted At The Upcoming Munich Film Festival With A Retrospective Of His Acclaimed Movies.
The Oscar winner will be the guest of honour at Germany's top film event next month (Jun15), when a collection of his features, shorts, and TV films will be screened for attendees.
Among the projects set to play are Election, starring Reese Witherspoon in her breakout role, About Schmidt, Sideways, The Descendants, and 2013's Nebraska.
Payne's last appearance at the festival was nearly 20 years ago, when his first feature film Citizen Ruth, starring Laura Dern, received the High Hopes Award, a prize given to up-and-coming international directors.
Payne will be honoured at a gala on 26 June (15) and is also set to speak about his career at a panel discussion.
