After a romance spanning almost two years, Alexander Skarsgard and the American actress Kate Bosworth have finally called it quits, according to US Weekly Magazine. The 'True Blood' actor first began dating Bosworth in 2009, following her split from British model James Rousseau.
A source close to the couple claims, "It was very mutual.And it happened a while ago". The actress was recently spotted giving her ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom a friendly hug, while Skarsgard was photographed at the Comic-Con in San Diego last week. An insider at a 'Film District' bash says the actor "flirted with a brunette - and left the party with her", adding, "he's single.and he is loving the attention!" Best known for his role as vampire 'Eric Northman' in 'True Blood', the 34-year-old has also starred opposite Ben Stiller in 'Zoolander' and in the HBO miniseries 'Generation Kill'. He and Bosworth both star in the upcoming remake of the controversial 1971 thriller 'Straw Dogs.
The actor will also appear alongside R&B star Rihanna in an adaptation of the Hasbro board-game 'Battleship'. The movie follows a fleet of ships forced to do battle with a rival armada of unknown origins.
