Alexander Skarsgard enjoyed a naked mud bath with his 'The East' co-stars.

The 'True Blood' actor - who plays anarchist collective leader Benji in the thriller which is directed by Zal Batmanglij and also stars Brit Marling - admits his favourite scenes to shoot were when he had to strip off and roll around naked in dirty water because the scenes allowed the cast to get ''very close''.

Speaking to the New York Post newspaper, Alexander said: ''[We were] naked in this muddy water, bathing each other [and] it was a beautiful moment. We all became very close.''

Alexander - who has been named the Sexiest Man in Sweden five times - seems to have no problems flashing his body in front of other people but insists he prefers to experiment with interesting parts rather than be given the ''pretty boy'' roles.

Speaking previously, the 36-year-old hunk - who was born in Stockholm - explained: ''Because I was voted the sexiest man in Sweden a couple of times, the roles that came in were the young hot guy. I wanted to do something that was more interesting than that.''
