Dina Lohan reportedly gatecrashed a charity event and then asked for a chair just for her Prada handbag.

The showbiz matriarch - who is Lindsay Lohan's mother - turned up uninvited at the Art for Life benefit in The Hamptons, Long Island, New York, on Saturday (27.07.14) with a friend.

The pair insisted they had bought tickets, even though there was no record of the purchase, and eventually convinced organisers to let them in.

Once inside, Dina stunned other guests on her table when she said her Prada accessory needed its own seat.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: ''Organisers seated them because they didn't want drama. She was on a pretend phone call with 'her publicist.' ''

After being seated she was overheard asker a guest to move up, saying: ''My Prada deserves its own seat.''

Dina, 50, posed for several photographs at the event, and told her fans she is constantly trying to convince her daughters Lindsay and Ali to stay off social networking and picture sharing sites.

She told a guest: ''I don't have Instagram. My daughters do. They post pictures of themselves all the time. I'm like, 'OMG, stop doing that!'''

Lindsay is believed to be due to complete her 90-day court ordered rehab programme on Wednesday (31.08.13).
