Alice Temperley is expanding for autumn/winter 2013-14.

The fashion designer - whose clothes are favoured by the likes of Heidi Klum and Britain's Duchess of Cambridge - will include a bigger range of outerwear, tailoring and floor-length gowns than ever before in her contemporary line.

Alice told vogue.co.uk: ''It has to take our audience and their busy lives through every day, to evening and across the weekend.

''Tailoring is an important part of that story and we have played with it in soft body-con jersey pieces with lace inserts, great tailored looks like the Regina ice-skater wool skirt worn back with my favourite piece of outerwear; the military-style Collette flared coat, and I am really excited about the expanded options in tailored leather from our signature shift dress to modern tailored trousers and crop tops.

''The detail is fantastic and the cut is fantastic at such a great price.''

The collection will feature more floor-length evening gowns than ever before with a wearable twist, and Alice hopes her new line will provide women with a flattering and ultra wearable capsule wardrobe.

She explained: ''The Alice collection is basically the Temperley aesthetic for the everyday - easy-to-wear feminine pieces, a sister line to everything else we do and now with our tailoring and long dress styles it can do more.

''The tailoring is chic, with flattering nipped-in waists that amplify a woman's body, and our beautiful evening gowns look great toughened up with a leather jacket. You shouldn't have to think too hard when you put an outfit together, it should be effortless and not look considered or contrived.''

The collection hits stores in July.
