American Idol has now sealed its brand status - bosses are launching a line of fragrances named after the hit TV contest.

The show, which began as Pop Idol in Britain, has enjoyed phenomenal ratings since its debut in America last year (02).

Fans have so far to rely on the talents of contestants or the quips of judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson for their entertainment, but they've now been given a scent to remind them of the show.

AMERICAN IDOL FRAGRANCES, launching 18 November (03), boasts IDOL SPIRIT FOR MEN and IDOL MOMENTS FOR WOMEN.
