Hits compilation NOW! THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC 20 has leaped back to the top of the US album charts, keeping American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, Shakira and hip-hop sensation Chris Brown off the number one spot.

Underwood, Colombian singer Shakira and RUN IT! hitmaker Brown were expected to fight for the top spot, but it's the hits collection that returns to the top with an impressive 158,000 sales week.

Brown's self-titled debut took second place with 154,000 sales and Underwood's debut SOME HEARTS enjoyed a pre-Christmas hike in sales when it jumped back up the charts from number seven to number three. Shakira's ORAL FIXATION, VOL 2 entered the new chart at number five.

Meanwhile, Inxs are back in the top 20 with their first studio album in eight years - SWITCH, the group's latest release with new singer JD FORTUNE, debuts at number 17.
