Chris Klein has signed up for 'American Reunion'.

The actor will reprise his role as Chris 'Oz' Ostreicher in the 'American Pie' franchise, his agent Jaime Primak has confirmed.

Jaime added to People magazine: "Chris is very excited to reunite with the original cast."

Last month it was revealed Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs and Eugene Levy had all signed up for the movie, once again taking on their original roles as Stifler, Jim and Jim's dad respectively.

Tara Reid, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge are also said to be in talks to come on board the project,

Seann - who recently completed a stint in rehab for "health and personal reasons" - has previously said of the project: "It would be everybody back. The idea would probably be the kind of high-school reunion. It would be centred around that. Just catching up with everybody.

"I love seeing these guys at that age, they are fatter, Stifler is chubby. It's that age where you're 29-30, and you go 'Is this really where I thought I was going to be?' It's kind of a different point in your life. There might be something there."

'American Pie' was released in 1999, and followed by 'American Pie 2', with 'American Wedding' the last of the films to come out in 2003.

Universal has since released a number of spin-offs without the original cast members which have gone straight to DVD.
