If I Don’t is the new duet with Amp Fiddler and Corinne Bailey Rae will be released May 14th on Wall Of Sound/Genuine Records. Coming on like a 30s ragtime homage 'If I Don't' is the perfect woozy record for summer 07. The single is accompanied by an animated video inspired by Mos Eisley Cantina (the alien bar where Luke Skywalker first meet's Han Solo and Chewbacca in Star Wars) and features Amp and Corinne in character, plus their bands.
After listing Amp Fiddlers 'Afro Strut' as her favourite album of 2006 – the Leeds soulstress hooked up with the Detroit veteran after one of her US shows. And the rest, as they say is history.
With the unmistakable vocals of both Amp and Corinne it can surely only be a matter of time before 'If I Don't' is sprinkling a little summer over even the gloomiest of UK days.
