Amy Winehouse wanted to raise Blake Fielder-Civil's baby.

The late singer was reportedly so keen to have children that she sent texts claiming she wanted to be involved in her ex-husband's life, according to his mother Georgette Civil.

She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: ''Amy said, 'We'll take the baby and raise him as our own'.

''Blake sent texts back saying it was a great idea. I couldn't believe what I was reading - they both lived in a dream world.''

She also revealed how the 'Back To Black' singer - who died from accidentally alcohol pointing in July 2011 - was constantly planning ''for her future'' with her ex-husband, and even tried to visit him the in jail day before she passed away.

Georgette said: ''Amy had so many plans for her future with Blake. He was in jail and they were divorced but she wrote to him and still longed for them to have a baby.

''The day before she died she had phoned the prison, trying to arrange a visit.''

Despite the couple's problems, Georgette ''couldn't accept'' that her son was suffering, and it strained her own relationship with his father Giles.

She admitted: ''I felt so guilty for Blake's problems that I couldn't accept they were so bad.

''I made excuse after excuse until Giles had enough. Still I couldn't accept Blake had done anything wrong.''
