Rapper M.I.A. has unveiled a new song in honour of tragic singer Amy Winehouse.
The Paper Planes hitmaker released a track called 27 - paying tribute to the gallery of rocks stars whose lives were claimed at that age - just hours after the Rehab singer passed away on Saturday (23Jul11).
She told followers on Twitter.com the song was written months ago but never released, adding: "R.I.P A.M.Y."
M.I.A. also posted the song's full lyrics, which include the lines, "All rock stars go to heaven, you said you'll be dead at 27", and "I took you to the clinic to get you clean but you couldn't, said in 2 days ur (you're) 27 and and ur (your) destiny was comin'".
Winehouse, 27, was found dead by an aide at her home in London. A post-mortem is due to be carried out on Monday (25Jul11).
