Anderson Cooper says that he almost had to stop a recent interview with pop-superstar Lady GaGa because he had drunk too much alcohol. The 43-year-old newsreader said the 'Paparazzi' star had persuaded him to drink whisky, despite it not being his usual drink of choice, reports the The Insider.
Cooper, who was conducting the interview in the UK, said, "We actually ended up that day in a pub in London drinking Jameson, which I don't really drink", before adding, "So, she got me to drink, like, two of them, and by the end, I was ready to have the interview be over, because I really sort of couldn't ask anymore questions". However, the news anchor admitted that he was grateful for his time spent with the controversial superstar, saying, "To be able to spend a couple weekends with her in various places over the course of several months, it's really cool".
The interview is set to feature on an edition of '60 Minutes' in February 2011, coinciding with next year's Grammy Awards. After meeting the 24-year-old, Cooper said, "She's obviously a fascinating person".
