Intimate concerts by singer/songwriter Andrew Bird and rockers DIIV at a New York record store have been axed due to noise complaints.

Bosses at the new Rough Trade Nyc shop in Brooklyn had planned to host the gigs as part of a series of in-store shows this month (Dec13), but some of the events have since been cancelled, while another by rapper Childish Gambino, set for Sunday (08Dec13), has been moved to Saturday (07Dec13) at the nearby Music Hall of Williamsburg, where he will share the stage with Pretty Lights.

A statement posted on the Rough Trade Nyc Twitter.com blog reads, "We are working quickly to fix an issue we've run into with our venue's noise level and how it effects the neighborhood."
