Sherlock star Andrew Scott, Notting Hill's Henry Goodman and British veteran Richard Johnson are among the nominees who will compete for prizes at the BBC Audio Drama Awards.

Scott is up for Best Actor for his role in Harold Pinter's Betrayal, while Goodman is nominated for James Joyce's Ulysses and Johnson is recognised for Tennyson and Edison.

In the female category, Lorraine Ashbourne is mentioned for Seven Scenes, Michelle Fairley for The Grapes of Wrath and Fenella Woolgar in An American Rose.

The winners will be unveiled at the second annual ceremony in London on 27 January (13).
