Andy Burrows prefers fatherhood to life as a Rock Star.

The former Razorlight drummer - who raises baby daughter Chloe with his fiancee Stephanie - says his priorities have changed since he became a dad and split from the 'America' hitmakers.

He told BANG Showbiz: "Well I'm a family man now. I've got my little girl to think about. So we're moving to New York for a few months to escape England. It'll be nice to just hang out and spend time with her. She's amazing.

"We won't be there forever though. I'll make sure to bring her back before she gets one of those annoying American accents!"

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old rocker - who was announced to have quit the 'Golden Touch' group in April amid rumours of animosity between him and frontman Johnny Borrell - has no regrets about his exit.

He explained: "I actually left the band back in January. But Razorlight is not the be all and end all. It's not all about f**king Razorlight, you know!"

Instead, Andy - whose 2008 solo LP 'The Colour of My Dreams' was critically acclaimed - is concentrating on his career and collaborating with some of his favourite musicians.

Speaking at the Martini Stay Beautiful launch party at London bar TINI, he added: "Right now I'm working on some solo stuff. Oh, and I'm going to be working with We Are Scientists. Which will be awesome. I love those guys."
