Angelina Jolie will miss the funeral of her aunt on Sunday (02Jun13) to support her fiance Brad Pitt at the London premiere of his new film.

Debbie Martin, the sister of the Salt star's late mother Marcheline Bertrand, lost her battle with breast cancer at a hospital in California on Sunday (26May13), and family members are now preparing to pay their final respects at a service this weekend.

But Jolie will be absent from the ceremony as she has decided to fly to England to attend a screening of World War Z, her first red carpet appearance since she revealed the news about her double mastectomy in a New York Times article earlier this month (May13).

Martin's widower Ron tells E! News, "We are making the final arrangements for the funeral as we speak... Angelina will be in London on Sunday so she won't be able to attend but she has been in touch with us and with various other members of the family, which has obviously been lovely and has meant a lot to us."

Jolie underwent her double mastectomy surgery in February (13) after testing positive for the Brca1 gene, which increases a woman's likelihood of contracting breast and ovarian cancer, and Ron Martin reveals his family are planning to raise money in his late wife's name for females to undergo the same test.

He adds, "We are currently in the process of setting up a foundation in Debbie's memory and we are hoping to raise money for women who can't afford to get Brca testing.

"We are hoping to work with a charity called the Clearity Foundation so that every woman in America will have access to Brca testing that could save her life - no matter how much money she has."
