Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber swapped roles in their latest movie 'Salt'.

The actress - who is regarded as one of the world's most beautiful women - decided to switch crime-busting roles in the Phillip Noyce-directed action thriller and take the lead as Evelyn Salt because Liev was convinced she would make a better leading lady.

He said: "I was initially going to play Salt. I spoke to Angelina about it and we both decided she'd be better for the role, so that's how it went down."

Liev - who has young sons Sasha and Samuel with actress Naomi Watts - and Angelina, who raises six kids with her partner Brad Pitt, made sure the movie was family friendly, by bringing their broods down to play together while they filmed in New York.

He said: "It was the best, the kids would come with us to set and all the kids would play together, it was fantastic."
