Angie Harmon - Angie Harmon Announces Screen Actors Guild Nominees
Angie Harmon, the 38-year-old American actress and star of TNT series 'Rizzoli & Isles', joined Rosario Dawson and JoBeth Williams in announcing the nominees for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Thursday (16rd December 2010), reports the Associated Press.
Executive producer JEFF MARGOLIS announced the presenters on Monday evening, and Harmon, Dawson and Williams revealed nominations in five film and eight television categories at the Pacific Design Centre in West Hollywood yesterday. Leading the way in the nominations is the Colin Firth movie 'The King's Speech' which picked up shouts in four categories, matched only by 'The Fighter', starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. Jeff Bridges, who was triumphant at last year's SAG Awards, earned another nomination for his portrayal of 'Rooster Cogburn' in the Coen Brothers' new movie 'True Grit'. Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman will battle it out for the 'Best Actress' award, but Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams were surprising omissions from this year's list.
The ceremony is set to be broadcast on TNT and TBS on January 30th 2011, live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
