Actress Anna Kendrick has sworn off singing in any future films, because she finds it too hard to prepare her voice for musical roles.

The Twilight star recently wrapped film adaptations of the off-Broadway musical The Last Five Years and stage hit Into the Woods, in which she portrays Cinderella, and she admits singing live has really taken its toll on her voice.

Kendrick is also due to reprise her role as a member of a college a cappella group in the Pitch Perfect comedy sequel, but she insists that job won't be as vocally demanding.

She tells TheWrap.com, "I never want to sing again, honestly. It's hard as f**k. The Pitch Perfect (sequel) is going to be fine, 10 girls have to be able to sing the songs so it's going to be fine, but doing The Last Five Years and then Into the Woods straight away, I was like, 'I don't want to have to think about my voice so much. I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want.'

"Honestly, after (the original) Pitch Perfect, I wouldn't have ever wanted to do a musical. I would have intentionally tried not to do a musical, but when it's The Last Five Years and Into the Woods, you can't really say no."
