Anna Nicole Smith has returned to the US amidst mixed reports that she may fight a court order for a paternity test for her daughter.
Last month a judge at the Los Angeles supreme court gave the model a deadline to submit her daughter Danielynn for a DNA test by January 23 2007.
The baby has been in the middle of a paternity dispute between Smith's partner Howard Stern and photographer Larry Birkhead, who claims he is the actual father of the child.
She has now returned to the US from the Bahamas, where she has been living with Stern and her daughter.
But according to magazine US Weekly, the couple plan to dispute the court's decision. Stern told the magazine that the US court had no jurisdiction over the paternity of their daughter.
But Birkhead believes he will "prevail" in his fight to prove that he is the father of Danielynn. "Anna will have a reality check," his lawyer, Debra Opri, said.
