Anna Wintour doesn't see herself as a "powerful person".

The US Vogue editor - who is regarded as one of the most influential people in fashion - says while her position enables her to get nicer things in life, she enjoys being able to help out people.

She said: "I don't think of myself as a powerful person. You know, what does it mean? It means you get a better seat in a restaurant or tickets to a screening or whatever it may be. But it is a wonderful opportunity to be able to help others, and for that I'm extremely grateful."

Anna also says she's hates the stereotype powerful women are given because men in the same position would never get the same comments.

She told Forbes: "It's not so much about powerful women. In some cases, there are stereotypes about women. I often don't hear men talked about in the same way. It's more a sexist stereotype than a powerful stereotype."

Despite having access to some of the world's most glamorous women, Anna recently revealed she is inspired by the "girl on the street".

She said: "I'm interested in seeing just the girl on the street because she is unlike any other. I'm inspired by whatever it is she might be wearing."
