Justin Bieber has been given a little support in his ongoing Anne Frank controversy by a relative of the heroic diarist.
The pop star upset history buffs and fans of Frank after scribbling a foolish comment in the guest book of the Anne Frank House museum in Amsterdam, Holland, following a visit on Friday (12Apr13).
He wrote: "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber."
Museum bosses have defended Bieber, insisting critics should focus on the fact that he visited them - and not on what he wrote, and now the diarist's stepsister has spoken out in Bieber's favour, stating Anne would most probably have been a fan.
Eva Schloss tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "She (Frank) probably would have been a fan. Why not? He's a young man and she was a young girl, and she liked film stars and music."
