Annie Lennox helped raise a record $563,000 (£352,000) for a children's charity with a one-off performance at a special concert on Saturday (01Oct11).
The former Eurythmics star entertained guests at the Clyde 1 & Clyde 2 Cash for Kids ball in Glasgow, Scotland, in aid of vulnerable children in the country.
The event smashed its own record by raising more than half a million dollars - and organisers thanked Lennox for helping to bring in the huge donations.
Lord Jack MCConnell, chairman of the charity's board of trustees, says, "Annie's generosity in agreeing to perform was reflected in the compassion shown by everyone who attended the event and who helped raise such a significant amount for Cash for Kids...
"Annie's work as a charity campaigner is known across the world and we can't thank her enough for giving up her valuable time to support the essential work of Cash for Kids."
