Singer Annie Lennox's daughter Tali is following in her mother's charitable footsteps by accompanying aid workers on an eight-day trip to one of the world's poorest countries.
Model Tali Lennox, 19, joined Christian Aid staff for a trip to Sierra Leone, West Africa where she visited fishing and farming communities and toured a newly-built primary school.
She tells British magazine Hello!, "Everyone I mentioned the trip to said: 'Is it safe?', but I wasn't nervous. I started modelling at 17 and often go on trips with people I don't know, which teaches you to be very confident. I also like to get out of my comfort zone. I don't like the luxury treatment. So I felt privileged to get this opportunity."
Lennox is also adamant her famous mother instilled core values in her which have led to her desire to help others, adding, "My mum doesn't dictate to us what we should or shouldn't do. But if we were spoilt brats who didn't care about other people or went out and spent loads of money on a fancy car, I don't think she'd be happy about it."
On Monday (14May12), Tali helped launched Christian Aid Week by unveiling a specially-designed watering can in London.
