Annie Lennox has raised more than $19,400 (£12,125) for her Aids charity by selling off a collection of music memorabilia.
The Eurythmics star raided her archives for a sale benefiting her foundation The Sing Campaign, which supports infected and affected women and children, to mark World Aids Day last week (01Dec11).
The auction ended on Thursday (08Dec11), and Lennox has raised a grand total of $19,411 (£12,132). She earned $14,560 (£9,100) by pledging to perform two songs over the phone for one lucky fan, while another bidder paid $896 (£560) for a personalised Christmas card.
In a post on her Facebook.com page, she writes, "I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in The Sing Campaign eBay auction. I promise every penny will be spent helping those affected by Hiv and Aids."
