Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho can't wait to party with Anthrax at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards.

The 'Broken Soul' singer is hosting the ceremony at London's indig02 on June 11 and he says his favourite thing about awards shows is getting to hang out with other bands and musicians.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''I've hosted the show three times in a row in the States so it's cool to bring my act to the UK for the first time, and get it rolling over in Britain.

''I know everybody already, I mean between hosting the show and playing with Fozzy for 12 years I've pretty much met every band and toured with a lot of them. I mean Anthrax are buddies of ours, we toured with them last summer so it's always cool to see them. I'm looking forward to hanging with them.''

Before he takes control of proceedings Chris and his bandmates - Rich Ward, Frank Fontsere, Paul Di Leo and Billy Grey - will be performing an exclusive set aboard HMS Hammer, a pre-show party boat for VIP's and Metal Hammer competition winners.

The 41-year-old star - who is also one of the top wrestling stars in WWE - has never performed on a boat before and thinks it will be a great gig.

He said: ''We've played pretty much everywhere but we've never played on a boat before. It's gonna go up the River Thames before the show, it's gonna be fun man.''

All the prizes are voted for by readers of The Heavy metal magazine, and nominees include Iron Maiden, Metallica, Lamb of God and Anthrax.
