Efron beat out the likes of Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum and Kate Upton for his topless trophy, while onscreen couple Rogen and Byrne's antics topped Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, among others, for the craziest film moment.

Other early winners included The Maze Runner stars Will Poulter and and Dylan O'Brien, who picked up Best Fight, Meryl Streep, who claimed the Best Villain award for her role of a witch in Into The Woods, and Elizabeth Banks, who took home the Best On-Screen Transformation trophy for her role in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

The Maze Runner's O'Brien also claimed the Best Hero award, while Jennifer Lawrence's The Hanging Tree performance in The Hunger Games sequel earned her the Best Musical Moment prize.

Furious 7 star Vin Diesel got the awards ceremony itself off to a thoughtful start when he took the stage to hand out the Best Female Performance to Shailene Woodley for The Fault in Our Stars when he sang a line from the action film's Paul Walker tribute tune, See You Again, after telling the crowd, "The last time I was on this stage I was with my brother Pablo."

Walker died in a car crash in 2013 while he was shooting Furious 7.
