Ashley Jensen is terrified her baby son will develop an American accent.

The Scottish actress - who gave birth to her Francis Jonathan, her first child with British husband Terence Beesley in October 2009 - admits she regularly plays the tot a CD of traditional Scottish lullabies in a desperate attempt to influence the way he speaks.

Ashley - who lives in Los Angeles with her family - explained: "It's called 'Bairn's Kiss' - my husband used to look at me weird when I was playing it, but now he ends up singing it in a Scottish accent. My family back home are very pleased about that."

The 40-year-old star - who has homes in Los Angeles, London and Italy - also admitted she and her husband often take a virtual tour around London with the internet application Google Earth if they are feeling homesick.

She explained to Britain's Hello! magazine: "When we get homesick we go on Google Earth and have a wee walk around The Streets and talk about when we go back to London, where we are going to live. We'll go for a 'walk' on Hampstead Heath or a look around Richmond."

Ashley and Terence married in California in 2007 after six years of dating.
