Mariah Carey has thrown her full support behind U.S. President Barack Obama's re-election campaign by penning an inspirational new song in his honour.
The R&B superstar debuted the ballad, titled Bring It on Home, on Thursday (14Jun12) as she performed at a special fundraiser for the Democrat at New York's Plaza Hotel.
Carey, who also backed Obama in the 2008 election, took to her Twitter.com blog after the bash and wrote, "Just finished performing Hero, We Belong Together and Bring It On Home - a song I wrote especially for the event."
The Plaza Hotel party took place hours after Obama mingled with guests at actress Sarah Jessica Parker's house for another political fundraiser, which was co-hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour and attended by Aretha Franklin and Meryl Streep.
