Tragedy struck the set of Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises in New York when an extra died during a break from filming.
The unnamed man was involved in a shoot near Wall Street last month (Nov11) when he suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to hospital but later pronounced dead.
A spokesman for Warner Bros. tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The studio can confirm that a male extra passed away while on a break during an off-set crowd rehearsal for a sequence with several hundred extras... Production fully co-operated with the authorities' investigation, which established that he died of natural causes."
The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader, is due for release next year (12).
