The Beach Boys have pulled out of plans to stage their first concert in Israel next month (Nov14).

The Good Vibrations hitmakers, led by singer Mike Love, were due to perform for fans in Tel Aviv on 29 November (14), but a local promoter, Gad Oron, learned on Tuesday (21Oct14) the band would no longer be going ahead with the gig.

Oron claims no reason has been given for the cancellation, but safety fears are not thought to be behind the axed show, as Love and his bandmates agreed to perform in August (14), when tensions between warring Israeli and Palestinian forces reached a new high in the ongoing Middle East conflict.

The Backstreet Boys, Paul Anka and Neil Young previously cited security concerns for backing out of gigs in the region this summer (14).
