60s surf rock sensations The Beach Boys return for a 50th anniversary world tour with a one-off show at London's Wembley Arena on September 28th 2012.
This year has been the first time the legendary rock n roll quintet, consisting of Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks, have been on tour in more than twenty years and the band reunited for a special performance at the 2012 Grammy award show. They will also release a new album 'That's Why God Made the Radio' on June 4th on Emi records which will be the first album in years to feature all of the surviving original band members and is produced by co-founders Brian Wilson and Mike Love. They are currently touring North America and have received glowing reviews from fans.
The Beach Boys maintain their Billboard/Nielsen SoundScan's record as being the top selling American band for both their albums and singles as well as having the most Top 40 hits at a massive 36. The influential group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and have received The Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award.
