More than 150 unreleased songs by the late crooner MATT MONRO have been discovered in London studio Abbey Road. The FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE singer's rarities, many produced by Beatles' knob-twiddler George Martin, have been compiled into 50-track CD THE RARE MONRO by Monro's daughter MICHELE. She says, "Daddy would go into the studio and record a song five or six times, in different ways, to provide a choice for what should be released. "I assumed the ones that weren't chosen had been lost for ever but they'd been secreted in the vaults at Abbey Road for 30 to 40 years." Monro died in 1985 aged 54.
